Kinnin started in cycling in 1978 representing the states of New Hampshire and Maine for USA Cycling. She also became an official soon after and rose to the highest ranks that officials can get to, becoming an International Commissaire for the UCI in mountain biking. Along the way Kinnin helped grow the officials crew in New England from a very small group of people into the body of what it is today. She has helped many past and present officials in gaining the knowledge needed to make New England racing the fairest and safest races that there are in the country. Her palmares include the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, and was a steady presence in the running of the Longsjo Classic, both in its stage race form and it’s “1-day classic” form later on. Kinnin represented New England with grace and dignity, and shortly after her retirement in 2017, was inducted into the New England Bicycle Racing Association Hall of Fame for all of her efforts in helping grow and sustain the sport of cycling.
